The USPT will be hosting the 2022 Galbani Professionale Pizza Cup & Acrobatic Trials, November 9-10 at The Pizza Tomorrow Summit in Orlando, Florida. This event is OPEN TO ALL COMPETITORS and will bring a cross section of the nation’s most talented pizzaioli and pizza athletes together in spirited culinary and acrobatic competition.
The rules are simple…bring your Best Pizza, Acrobatic Pizza Spinning Routine , Largest Dough Stretcher and Fastest Pie Makers to the Sunshine State for your chance to win a trip to compete in the Campionato Mondiale della Pizza (World Pizza Championships) in Parma, Italy, April 18-20, 2023.
This event is open to all styles of pizza of differing shapes & sizes. If you can make it within the allotted time on the given ovens, you will have the chance to show you pizza peers and customers you have what it takes to represent your hometown and be crowned The Galbani Professionale Champion! All entries will be scored by expert judges on basic pizza metrics such as crust bake, topping distribution, appearance and of course, FLAVOR.
This flavorful competition will be followed by the visually stunning and energetic Pizza Acrobatic Trials. Featuring events like Largest Dough Stretch, Fastest Pie Maker and the crowd favorite Freestyle Acrobatics, this exhilarating finale to the Galbani Professionale Pizza Cup & Acrobatic Trials will have your pizzeria and your customers talking for years to come.
Winners of the culinary category will be crowned the Galbani Cup Champion and join the US Pizza Team for a trip across the pond to represent Galbani Professionale US, as well as their hometowns, their pizzeria, and US Pizza at large against some of the world’s finest pizzaioli from over 30 countries! The winner of Freestyle Acrobatics will also head to a Spin off for ANOTHER seat on the plane to pizza glory in Italy!
